energetic cords: what are they and what happens when they are cut?
We are all made up of energy and everything around us is made of energy. Our pets are energy, our houses are energy, and even our thoughts, actions, and emotions are energy.
When our energy interacts with the energies of people, places, and things, we then form something called a psychic tie with them. Psychic ties are small energetic connections that look like threads and can affect how we feel and interact with others. Psychic ties can be easily formed and can also be easily released or cut.
When we have a very strong connection energetically with someone or something (such as a traumatic event) we form what is called a Negative Energetic Cord. We form both Positive Energetic Cords and Negative Energetic Cords and when a Negative Energetic Cord is significant, it can contain energies that affect our Chakras blocking us emotionally, spiritually. and sometimes even physically. Negative Energetic Cords can be difficult to permanently release and we need the assistance of both the Divine (such as an Ascended Master or an Archangel) as well as a trained Energetic Cord Cutting Professional in order to cut them.
who do we form these cords of attachment with?
Most often, we form Negative Energetic Cords with people who we have interacted with (now or in the past) in a significant way, such as:
Parents
Spouses (current and former)
Co-workers (current and former)
Siblings
Children
Former Friends
Ex-Relationships or Sexual Partners
Someone who has violated us in a physical or emotional way
We can also form Negative Energetic Cords with traumatic events from our past, such as a sexual assault. Surprisingly, we can even form these cords with groups of people or even a famous person we have never met (such as a political figure) if that person's actions or personality affects us deeply.
how do negative energetic cords affect us?
We can be affected by these cords in a variety of ways, including:
- Feeling so emotionally connected to an ex to the point where you are unable to attract a new, healthy relationship in your life
- Experiencing a lack of confidence in your abilities and talents (especially in the workplace)
- Consistently being defensive when around certain people
- Repeating patterns in friendships, family relationships, and romantic relationships
- Clinging on to relationships for fear of abandonment
- Attracting negative people or events in your life on a continuous basis
- Holding on to anger, pain, or hurt from the past
- Not speaking your truth or defending your position to another out of fear
- Feeling drained emotionally or physically after interacting with a person, on a regular basis
Commonly asked questions:
1. If I cut a Negative Energetic Cord with someone will I still be able to have a relationship with them? If so, how will that relationship be affected?
Absolutely! We only cut Negative Energetic Cords with others, as Positive Energetic Cords cannot be cut. I commonly cut cords with spouses (for example) who want to stay married but would like to clear out some of the negative 'junk' that comes with that relationship. This rings true for other relationships as well.
The only way the relationship might be affected is that you may respond to the person you cut with differently after the cord cutting than before the cord cutting. For example, in the past a negative comment from that person may have ended in a huge fight, whereas now you may be able to brush it off and not let it bother you.
2. Can I cut a Negative Energetic Cord with a deceased person?
Energy (including the energy contained within any cord) transcends space and time, so cutting a cord with someone who has crossed over can be as helpful and as much of a release as cutting a cord with someone who is living.
3. Will the other person know I have cut a cord? Will they feel it? Does it get cut on their side?
Cords are cut on our side only. The other person may have a Negative Energetic Cord to you (and they likely do!) but they would need to have it cut on their side in order for it to be helpful for them. They will not know you had a cord cut, unless you tell them.
4. Can't I just ask Archangel Michael to cut all my cords at once and be done with it?
No. You can ask for all your psychic ties to be cut, but to cut a Negative Energetic Cord there are many steps involved in order to sever it properly. Working with a properly trained Cord Cutting Professional who can facilitate healing with the help of the Divine will ensure the Negative Energetic Cord is cut properly and permanently.
5. Can a Negative Energetic Cord form again with the same person?
No. Once a cord is properly cut, it cannot form again.
6. How can I expect to feel after an Energetic Cord Cutting Session with Shelly?
Everyone experiences something different during and after a session. Some people feel an immediate energetic shift as the cord is being cut. Some are very emotional a few days after as they release all the energy they had been holding on to. Others don't notice much of anything right away and then realize that they rarely think about the person or event they cut the cord with, and when they do, they no longer feel the emotions of hurt or anger. Everyone responds differently to each cord that is cut and is releasing different negative energies contained within that cord. This is also why we only cut one cord at a time.
