Akashic Records: What the heck are they?
The term ‘Akashic Record’ is the phrase used to describe the energetic ‘records’ of our soul, our energy, and our purpose here in this lifetime and all lifetimes we have ever experienced. The records document every thought, emotion, action and experience that has ever occurred.
Cool, right?
So, when you look into your personal record, you are able to gain some very detailed information about who you are on a soul level and how the life lessons you chose for this lifetime (yup, you chose those suckers!) affect the decisions you make and the experiences you have.
It’s a very empowering tool!
Why would you want your Akashic Records read?
Well, in addition to learning some really fascinating things about yourself, knowing things like your special soul gifts or those life lessons I mentioned can be applied to future decisions about things like relationships or career paths. For example:
- Have you noticed that you keep choosing the same dead end relationships? Perhaps you are learning a life lesson of partnership.
- Have you always wanted to write a book, but never thought you could do it? Maybe learning that one of your soul gifts is that of a storyteller will be just what you need to gain confidence to make the leap.
- Do you feel like you are especially intuitive and have more to offer in this area? Learning that you have the gift of being an Empath might clear the confusion and be the start of a new spiritual journey.

What exactly do you learn in an Akashic Record Reading with me?
Here is a brief summary of the questions I will be asking while in your record. Don’t worry if you don’t understand all of it now. I promise we will go over each element again during your reading!
1. What is your Energy Center of Training?
Your Energy Center of Training is the realm in which your soul was originally ‘trained’ in to bring certain energies and specific personality characteristics here in this incarnation (and every other incarnation). The Energy Centers are also each aligned with the 7 Chakras and bring forth those energies as well.
For example, my soul was trained in the 6th realm which correlates to the 6th chakra, also known as the 3rd Eye Chakra. This realm and chakra are all about heightened intuition and increased clarity in life. The 6th realm also means I can be fiercely protective (overprotective?!) of my loved ones. Another trait of this realm is that I have a no nonsense way of delivering information at times and may need to practice a little more tact when dealing with others.
Hmm…yes. All true. The good, bad, and (ahem) ugly.
2. What is your Soul Group of Origin?
Your Soul Group of Origin is the place where your soul first incarnated. Your ‘home’ incarnation, if you will. You will bring the traits of your Soul Group with you throughout all lifetimes and these qualities help shape who you are today. I will look into the 22 different Soul Groups to find out which one you are a part of and tell you the unique personality traits that you embody.
3. What Soul Trainings have you had between incarnations
We are pretty busy once we cross over! One of the many things we participate in before our next incarnation is what we call a Soul Training. A Soul Training is sort of like on-the-job training where you learn a new trade and will always have that knowledge in your subsequent lifetimes.
For example, I was trained as an Incubator Soul who are souls trained to prepare, nurture, and assist other souls incarnating here on Earth for the first time. Interestingly enough, I spent my early 20’s (not knowing this information) as a childbirth educator and doula (labor assistant).
See the connection? Very cool, right?
4. In which previous places or eras did your soul experience the most growth?
This is always a fun one! Although an Akashic Record Reading doesn’t go into details about who you were or what you did during your previous lifetimes, I am able to look at the era or place where your soul had the most significant growth and how many times you incarnated during that period. Often, I will hear, “No kidding? I sort of always knew that!”
5. Which religious or spiritual traditions did you participate in that affect who you are today?
Spiritual traditions are another fun one because so often they really resonate with clients. It’s more about the message that the religion or spiritual tradition coveys rather than the religion itself. For example, a participation in Christianity is not about participating in something structured or organized in a particular way, rather you would have learned the lesson of divine love with that participation.
Love that!
6. What are the primary and secondary life lessons that you are working on in this lifetime?
I feel that learning what life lessons you chose for this lifetime can be so empowering! With this portion of your Akashic Record Reading I look into your primary life lesson, where it is manifesting in your life at this time, and how far along you are in completing that lesson. I then look at how many secondary life lessons you are working on and what they are. Finally, I give you several examples of how you may be learning each of your life lessons. Everyone learns life lessons in their own way, but it’s helpful to hear examples of how each might be being learned.
7. What is your strongest intuitive gift at this time?
We all have these awesome gifts, but not all of us choose to develop them. Which intuitive gift is your strongest right now? Are you more Clairaudient? Clairsentient? Is your strongest intuitive gift dreaming? I will look at your strongest gift and explain how it works.
8. Are you an Empath?
Most of us have empathy for others, however not everyone is what is considered an Empath. There are 9 types of Empath abilities and I will look to see which (if any!) you have.
9. What further soul gifts have you been given in this lifetime?
Knowing our soul gifts can be an awesome way to figure out how to use our strengths to our advantage and benefit in this lifetime. What would you do if you learned that you had an extra soul gift as an Intuitive? Or what if one of your soul gifts was that of a Humanitarian or having a soul gift of Improving and Maximizing Systems?
So many possibilities!
What does an Akashic Record *not* include?
An Akashic Record Reading is very detailed, and as you can see provides a ton of interesting and relevant information, however, it does not address the following: Health Related Issues, Extensive Past Life Information, Financial Advice, Future Predictions, Legal or Business Advice.

"If you can't decide if the money is worth having Shelly do a reading for you READ MY REVIEW. But, don't spend money you don't have, after all, it’s not cheap, but....
